I'm sorry, man. It's horrible losing a friend like that, but at least he went with his family around him.

RIP special marmalade man.
We found a very orange japanese maple to mark Gizmocat's resting place - I'm daft enough to say hello to that spot whenever I pass now.
I say hi to my two, Skitty and Azrael, every time I look out the window at their resting spot. You're not alone.
So sad and sorry to hear that. He sounded a wonderful feline fellow. May he rest in peace. That's a lovely touch about the sunflowers.
Poor Fred. It sounds like he had a wonderful life though.
I hope you and Andi are coping OK.
i'm so sorry. bless wee fred. you were lucky to have each other & you did the best thing in his time of need.
I'm so very sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry that it came to that, but you did the right thing. -hugs- He was lucky to have found such a loving owner.
My heartfelt sympathy. I still miss Happy.
Sorry to hear that. Fred'll live on in your heart for ever.
I'm sorry. He looks like a charmer.
Hugs, its hard to lose a friend
Should there be a heaven, and I make it there upon shuffling off this mortal coil, (no telling which of the former or latter possibility is more remote), all the cats I've known who have gone into that good night before me will be waiting for me and precious few humans. My most heartfelt condolences to you for your loss.
I'm sorry to hear about Fred. He sounds like a wonderful cat full of character. It's good that he'll always be close to home.
oh, that's so sad....i'm so sorry for you, but at least you gave him a great life with lots of love.
goodbye Fred, all my thoughts are with you -RIP-
That sucks dude, sorry to hear that. :(
From one orange tabby to the family of another....
Arvid: 'Don't you worry, I was there to show him the ropes...I'm a bit of an odd one too!'
And from Arvid's brothers and sister - purrs of love and sympathy.
So sorry for your loss. :( Poor Fred, but it was his time. You did the best for him until the very end.
Sorry to hear ou had to put Fred down. Hope he's happy where he is now.
love and hugs... no matter how much you know its the right thing to do, it still hurts...
RIP Fred. Hugs to you and the lady.
What a touching story! Poor thing :(
RIP Fred, off chasing star mice in the great unknown...
I stopped reading your journal for a bit hoping to avoid any bad news, but :( - poor Fred, and you both.
You did the right thing though. Our Shelly was ill and suddenly started panicking about her own state, and you know you have to act.
You'll have memories of him forever. A better legacy than most people ever leave.
